The standard Cycle Timer is a module that installs into a Wood Gun PLC controller. Its purpose is to assure that the Wood Gun is brought into an active firing cycle by schedule, in order to maintain refractory temperatures, even if there is otherwise no call for heat. With no call for heat, the standard Cycle Timer will fire the boiler 10 minutes each 2 hours. If the boiler responds to a call for heat, this timer resets the cycle to start again at 0. It is possible to modify the standard time cycle with a chip modification. For nearly all applications, it is recommended to use the default chip (cycle of 10 MIN every 2 HRS).
Note: On older Wood Guns, you may encounter a 4 Hour Cycle Timer. This is a standard mechanical timer that is programmed by adding and removing start and stop pins. We no longer provide this for the Wood Gun.
